Sono molto contenta di aver finito il mio 2017 con questo libro. Un anno in cui sempre di più la mia coscienza femminista è cresciuta, un anno in cui le sfide posteci dalla società e dal pensare comune sempre di più mi hanno portato a contestare il patriarcato.
Questo libro, è un libro importante.
Maggiormente riguardo agli Stati Uniti, ma situazioni facilmente ritrovabili in tutto il mondo, Tiziana Ferrario svela tutti i pregiudizi e gli stereotipi che ancora ostacolano il cammino delle donne. Un segnale su tutti, nominato già nel sottotitolo, il fatto che un uomo sessista, razzista e ignorante come Donald Trump possa essere stato eletto a Presidente degli Stati Uniti sconfiggendo una donna esperta, intelligente e preparata come Hillary Clinton. Aiutato, diciamolo chiaramente e esplicitato in molte interviste fatte alle persone comuni, il fatto che molti Americani non erano ancora pronti per una donna presidente. Solo il fatto che Trump fosse nato maschio, gli ha dato punti in più. E non importa che sia quanto meno un uomo imbarazzante e ignorante, ancora nella testa di molte persone, essendo maschio è più portato al comando. Con quali risultati, è sotto gli occhi di tutti...
Un libro pieno di dati, di racconti, di storie. Alcune edificanti, alcune gloriose, altre tristi e assurde. Il 2017 è stato tutto questo.
Nel 2018 si continua a combattere.

This book is an important book.
