Partita da questa base, non potevo che avere grandi aspettative per questo libro. E anche se il soggetto principale é la vita di una donna sui sessant'anni, e io ne ho una trentina in meno, l'ho trovato davvero divertente, intelligente e ironico.
La signora Ephron parla degli aspetti negativi dell'aver raggiunto i sessant'anni, del collo che si riempie di rughe, della sua idiosincrasia per le borsette, ma molto di più della sua vita, del suo lavoro, dei suoi figli, delle sue case.
É come leggere la vita raccontata da una delle protagoniste di Sex and The City diventata anziana, una di quelle donne brillanti che hanno la vita che tutte noi vorremmo avere.
Adoro il suo stile e la sua penna, non vedo l'ora di leggere tutti gli altri suoi libri.

Raise the hand who have never seen a movie by Nora Ephron and I will know who lived in the moon in the past years. Does "When Harry Met Sally" remind you anything?
So, I couldn't help to have vhuge expectations about this book. And also if the main subject is the life of sixty years old woman, and I am younger than thirty years, I think it is really funny, smart and witty.
Mrs Ephron tells about the negative side of being an old lady, from a neck full of wrinkles to her dislike for purses, but much more about her own life, her job, her children, her houses.
It's like reading a life told by an old "sex and the City" character, one of those brilliant women having a life we want too.
Love her style, I am looking forward to reading her other books.
