Il secondo volume delle Morgane raccontate da Michela Murgia e Chiara Tagliaferri, stavolta con un tema preciso: i soldi. Perchè, come dice esattamente Virginia Woolf nella prima frase della prefazione, "Una ragazza dovrebbe avere una stanza tutta per sé e una rendita di 500 sterline l'anno", la Woolf diceva per scrivere ma si intende per fare qualunque cosa quella ragazza voglia fare della sua vita. Indipendenza economica come prima cosa da ricercare nella vita, prima di un matrimonio, questo dovrebbe essere il punto principale da insegnare a tutte le bambine del mondo, perchè ai bambini lo si insegna già.
Quindi ecco raggruppate le storie di donne che quella indipendenza se la sono cercata e tenuta stretta, con la loro fantasia, con le loro idee innovative, con la loro fede, con il loro talento, con il loro essere se stesse. Donne che non hanno dovuto essere legate al patrimonio del maschio accanto a loro, non "le mogli di" anche in periodi storici in cui era l'unica cosa che le donne potevano essere.
Tutte donne incredibili, ma la mia preferita in assoluto ovviamente la conterranea Francesca Sanna Sulis, di cui colpevolmente non conoscevo la storia ma che adesso approfondirò sicuramente e di cui andrò a visitare il museo a lei intitolato, omaggio all'imprenditoria femminile. Sarebbe bello che la sua storia venisse conosciuta maggiormente, come quella di tutte le altre, come esempio e modello per la mia generazione, non è mai tardi, per le donne di oggi e per le future.

The second volume of the women told by Michela Murgia and Chiara Tagliaferri, this time with a specific theme: money. Because, as Virginia Woolf says exactly in the first sentence of the preface, "A woman must have money and a room of her own" Woolf said "to write fiction" but meant to do whatever that girl wants to do of her life. Economic independence as the first thing to look for in life, before a marriage, this should be the main point to teach all the girls in the world, because we already taught it to the boys.
So here are the stories of women who have sought that independence and held it tight, with their imagination, with their innovative ideas, with their faith, with their talent, with their being themselves. Women who didn't have to be tied to the heritage of the male next to them, not "the wives of" even in historical periods when it was the only thing women could be.
All incredible women, but my absolute favorite obviously the Sardinian Francesca Sanna Sulis, whose history I guilty didn't know, but which I will definitely deepen now and I will go to visit the museum named after her, a tribute to female entrepreneurship. It would be nice if her story was better known, like that of all the others, as an example and model for my generation, it is never late, for women today and for the future.
