Il libro è davvero molto interessante, racconta l'America senza preconcetti (e ce ne sono tanti) nè abbellimenti. La politica, la vita sociale, il lavoro, tutto viene spiegato in maniera precisa. E' stato un viaggio molto interessante, essendoci stata varie volte alcune cose mi erano note, altre sono state una scoperta.
Le storie raccontate di gente che ha segnato la storia degli Stati Uniti sono molto interessanti, spesso e volentieri mi sono ritrovata poi a cercare maggior informazioni sul web. A parte Trump, quello non lo voglio vedere manco dipinto...
Libro consigliato, come i podcast di Francesco Costa e la newsletter a cui mi sono prontamente iscritta per continuare a essere informata su un paese che amo e che spero presto di poter rivedere!
L'esperienza dell'audiobook... mmmh... quello temo che sia meno incoraggiante, quasi sicuramente sarà un esperimento che finirà qui. Non è proprio nelle mie corde, ma dovevo provarlo per saperlo!

This quarantine led me to spend the whole day at home and to fill more hours at home than before. So, I came to try one thing I've always been skeptical about: audiobooks. It seemed strange to me to listen to a book while doing other things, for me reading has always been a completely totalizing experience, me and the book, immersed in reading so as to forget the outside world. I thought that listening to a non-fiction book would still be preferable to a novel, and I started this book by Francesco Costa because it was already on my wish list.
The book is really very interesting, it tells America without preconceptions (and there are many) or embellishments. Politics, social life, work, everything is explained precisely. It was a very interesting journey, having been there several times, some things were known to me, others were a discovery.
The stories told by people who have marked the history of the United States are very interesting, I often found myself looking for more information on the web. Except for Trump, I don't want to see him not even painted...
Recommended book, such as the podcasts of Francesco Costa and the newsletter to which I have readily subscribed to continue being informed about a country that I love and that I hope to see again soon!
The audiobook experienc... mmmh... I fear this is less encouraging, almost certainly it will be an experiment that will end here. It's not really in my style, but I had to try it to find out!
