Lo ammetto, un piacere anche al tatto. Credo sia stato il libro più accarezzato di sempre. Ogni pagina ha avuto la sua carezza e il mio sguardo d'amore.
Credo di non poter ringraziare abbastanza i due autori per tutto questo.

The most beautiful book I've had in my hands in a lot of time. Beautiful because its contents, and mostly because the visual sense. Extraordinary pictures, places of such a beauty that fills up eyes, heart and soul.
A journey in the libraries, from the ancient Mesopotamia to today. Architecture, art, literature, all together to create that heart of culture called library.
From the Eastern simplicity, to the Rococo, from the study halls of Oxford, paper and wood, to the super modern ones of today, made of shelves of iron and steel, with their heights as far as the eye can see.
I must admit, pleasing to the touch. I think it is the most caressed book in the world. Every page had a caress and a lot of love.
I can't thank enough the authors for this.
