Anche se a me invece i Fab Four non piacciono e dormo bene lo stesso, mentre Shakespeare è grande amore per sempre.
Piano piano sto portando a compimento la lettura completa di tutte le sue opere, un lavoro di grande bellezza. Adesso era da un po' che non andavo avanti, e avevo bisogno di una dose del suo mondo.
Il saggio di Jan Kott fa una panoramica completa dell'opera e del teatro shakesperiano, fermandosi comunque per approfondire alcune delle sue opere più famose. Re Lear, Amleto, Coriolano, La Tempesta, Sogno di una notte di mezza estate, vengono presi e scandagliati dettagliatamente, e studiati quasi verso dopo verso, battuta dopo battuta.
C'è un lavoro di critica e di studio del teatro incredibile. Non solo quello elisabettiano, ma vi è un raffronto continuo anche con Racine, Beckett, Laurence Olivier, e poi con Machiavelli, Leonardo...
Insomma, è un saggio davvero ricchissimo, molto interessante per chi è interessato all'argomento.
Io l'ho amato molto, mi ha spiegato ancora più approfonditamente questo mondo.
243 pagine di testo. Su Shakespeare ci sarebbe da scriverne 10 volte tanto e ancora non sarebbe abbastanza.

Shakespeare has long been a great love of mine. Oh well, probably it is not really a declaration of great originality, the Bard is a bit like the Beatles, if you do not like it is because you have not actually understood them.
Even if I don't like the Fab Four and I sleep well the same, while Shakespeare is great love forever.
Slowly I'm completing the complete reading of all his works, a work of great beauty. Currently I hadn't been going on for a while, and I needed a dose of his world.
Jan Kott's essay gives a complete overview of Shakespeare's opera and theater, stopping anyway to elaborate on some of his most famous works. King Lear, Hamlet, Coriolanus, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, are taken and plumbed in detail, and studied almost verse to verse.
There is a incredibile work of criticism and study of theater. Not only the Elizabethan one, but there is also a continuous comparison with Racine, Beckett, Laurence Olivier, and then with Machiavelli, Leonardo...
In short, it is a very rich essay, very interesting for those interested in the subject.
I loved him so much, he explained this world to me even more in depth.
243 pages of text. About Shakespeare one would have to write 10 times as much and it still wouldn't be enough.
