Non ho mai compreso chi avesse posizioni nette su questioni di vitale importanza come per esempio eutanasia e aborto. I casi sono talmente diversi gli uni dagli altri, il modo in cui le persone reagiscono sono talmente diversi gli uni dagli altri, che dare una risposta uguale per tutti mi sembra assurdo e inutile.
Quello che credo debba essere alla base di ogni legislazione in merito è l'autodeterminazione, ovvero il diritto di ogni persona di decidere per sè. Nessuno meglio di me sa cosa è giusto per me.
Ho voluto leggere questo libro per approfondire meglio il discorso e avere una base di concezione medica per un tema di cui si parla ma si sa poco.
Qui c'è tutta la storia di come si è arrivati alla legislazione attuale, i casi più famosi, in cosa consistono l'eutanasia, la nutrizione e l'idratazione artificiali, l'obiezione di coscienza e l'accanimento tearapeutico.
E' un libro completo e preciso. Per farsi un'idea scientifica della materia è perfetto.
Religione a parte, un discorso molto privato che dovrebbe entrare nella sfera privata di ognuno, non come regola generale per tutti, soprattutto in questi casi.
Molto interessante, come sempre i libri della Lalli.

How do you start the review of a book about a so important topic? Starting with oneself.
I have never understood who had clear positions on vital issues such as euthanasia and abortion. The cases are so different from each other, the way people react are so different from each other, that giving an equal answer to everyone seems absurd and useless.
What I believe should be the basis of any legislation in this regard is self-determination, which is the right of every person to decide for itself. Nobody knows better than me what is right for me.
I wanted to read this book to deepen the discourse better and to have a basis of medical conception for a topic we are talking about but little is known.
Here is the whole story of how we got to the current legislation, the most famous cases, in what consist of euthanasia, artificial nutrition and hydration, conscientious objection and therapeutic obstinacy.
It is a complete and precise book. To get a scientific idea of ??the subject is perfect.
Religion aside, a very private subject that should enter the private sphere of everyone, not as a general rule for all, especially in these cases.
Very interesting, as always the books by Lalli.
