Così anche quando tre studenti di una scuola si trovano a vivere, non solo a scrivere, il tema datogli per punizione dal loro insegnante: come sarebbe il mondo se i vostri genitori tornassero bambini e voi diventaste grandi?
Pennac riesce in maniera perfetta a svolgere quel tema, a restituirci un mondo credibile in cui succede qualcosa di incredibile e di magico. Non è il realismo magico di Marquez, lo definirei più un realismo fiabesco, senza durezza, salvando lo sguardo del bambino.
Libro bellissimo, sempre nell'attesa dell'ultimo capitolo del suo capolavoro, la saga Malaussene.

Pennac always manages to build fantastic worlds that are perfectly plausible too. He never exaggerates with strangeness, as Professor Craistang would say, because "imagination doesn't mean lies". Even in the most unlikely situations, reality must not be betrayed.
So even when three students from a school find themselves living, not just writing, the theme given to them by their teacher as punishment: what would the world be like if your parents were children again and you grew up?
Pennac manages perfectly to carry out that theme, to give us back a credible world in which something incredible and magical happens. It is not Marquez's magical realism, I would call it a fairytale realism, without harshness, saving the child's gaze.
Beautiful book, but I'm waiting for the last chapter of his masterpiece, the Malaussene saga.
