Simone de Beauvoir racconta, romanzandola, la storia dell'amicizia giovanile con Zaza, passaggio fondamentale per la futura scrittrice. Le due inseparabili si incontrano a scuola e la loro amicizia si cementa grazie ai pomeriggi a studiare, alle vacanze estive passate insieme, a una affinità comune. Per Simone/Sylvie, Zaza/Andrée è la persona più importante della sua giovinezza.
E' un romanzo/memoir romanzato sulla amicizia femminile, sulla comunione di anime ma anche sulle regole di una società bigotta che decide per le persone, senza scampo, e non perdona nessuna scelta individuale.
Molto bello, mi piacerebbe approfondire le personali remore di Simone a non darlo alle stampe, pur conservando il manoscritto. Personali perchè sappiamo che Sartre non lo considerava all'altezza, ma lei?
In ogni caso, per l'ennesima volta, De Beauvoir ha raccontato l'animo umano e la società in modo incisivo e impeccabile.

Simone de Beauvoir tells the story of her youthful friendship with Zaza, a fundamental step for the future writer. The two inseparable ones meet at school and their friendship is cemented thanks to the afternoons of studying, the summer holidays spent together, a common affinity. For Simone / Sylvie, Zaza / Andrée is the most important person of her youth.
It is a novel / memoir fictionalized on female friendship, on the communion of souls but also on the rules of a bigoted society that decides for people, without escape, and does not forgive any individual choice.
Very nice, I would like to deepen Simone's personal hesitation not to publish it, while keeping the manuscript. Personal because we know that Sartre did not consider it up to par, but what about her?
In any case, for the umpteenth time, De Beauvoir described the human soul and society in an incisive and impeccable way.
