Leggendo questo libro, l'unica cosa che ho pensato è stata "che vita noiosa, che vita scontata, che vita come tante altre". Eppure, ho stra-adorato questo libro! Divorato in un giorno, non riuscivo a staccarmi dalla figura di Maria, la protagonista e dalla sua vita. Maria è una che si lascia trascinare dagli eventi, passa attraverso quello che le succede quasi senza rendersene conto, come un automa. Quando si sposa, sembra quasi che sia una successione naturale degli eventi, senza che lei abbia alcuna parola in merito. È a-emotiva, non ha grandi passioni, non dimostra niente.
Il fatto che il personaggio principale di un libro non mi dica niente, eppure il trovi di nuovo il libro incredibilmente bello e ironico e stimolante, dovrebbe farmi capire qualcosa.
Credo sia partita la Coe-Mania, amici miei.

Sometimes, reading a book, the reader thinks about who could be the person who happen to have so much adventures or a so crazy life, or worthy of Hollywood lovestories (movies that are based on books, so it's always a vicious cycle). Reading this book, the only thing I can think about is "what a boring life, what a predicted life, a life like everyone's else". But, I loved this novel!! I devoured it in a day, I wasn't able to move away from Maria, the main character, and her life. Maria is a woman who let herself be dragged along by the events, she gets through to what happens to her without almost being accountable to it, like an automaton. When she gets married, looks like it's the natural order of succession, like she doesn't have any kind of thought about. She looks un-emotional, she doesn't have big passions, she doesn't show anything.
The fact that the main character of this book doesn't say anything to me, but at the same time for me this is an incredibly beautiful and ironic and stimulating book, would make me understand something.
