In genere i libri firmati MW hanno un atmosfera diversa, meno spensierata e con personaggi più dark. La protagonista di questo romanzo, infatti, é una vera bad girl.
Fleur é una funeral crasher professionista. Si infiltra alle commemorazioni di mogli di uomini ricchi, si infila nella loro vita e nel loro letto, e poi scappa dopo aver versato parecchie migliaia di sterline sul proprio conto in banca.
Il vedovo di turno é Richard Favour, peccato che questa volta però qualcuna non abbia più intenzione di festeggiare il compleanno nella data sbagliata e non saper rispondere alla domanda "Dove abiti".
É un romanzo carino, senza troppe pretese, ideale per una lettura rilassata. Grazie al cielo, non c'è un personaggio stupido quanto Rebecca Bloomwood... E per quanto Fleur sia stereotipata e Richard sia talmente buono e ingenuo da poter essere solo un personaggio di un romanzo, grazie alla scrittura dell'autrice, il libro si legge piacevolmente.

A long time ago I've read my last book by her. That's because the main character of the Shopaholic series was starting to make me freaking out that I couldn't stand another book like those.
In general the books signed MW have a different mood, less silly and the characters are darkest. The main character of this novel is a real bad girl.
Fleur is an expert funeral crasher. She infiltrates at funeral services of rich men' wives and in their beds, and then runs away after have stolen a lot of thousands of pounds from their bank account.
The widower on duty this time is Richard Favour, but this time someone hasn't anymore the slightest intention to celebrate her own birthday in the wrong day and not know how to answer at "Where do you live" question.
It's a nice novel, without any demanding, perfect for a relaxed reading. More, I'm so thankful there is no such a stupid character as Rebecca Bloomwood... And as far as Fleur is stereotyped and Richard is so good that he is unreal and he can be only the character of a novel, the writing of Mrs Wickham is so good that it is a very pleasant reading.
