Non so se ci sarà una quarta puntata, intanto parliamo del giovane autore derivato. Che proprio uno sconosciuto non è, visto che è Jonathan Safran Foer.
Eccomi è la risposta di Abramo a Dio, nel momento in cui gli viene chiesto di sacrificare il figlio Isacco. Come è possibile crescere e proteggere un figlio, e insieme accettare la richiesta di Dio? E per una famiglia normale, come è possibile proteggere un figlio e allo stesso tempo accettare la vita che abbiamo? E' un romanzo su una famiglia ebrea a Washington DC, i Bloch. Julia e Jacob, i genitori, i tre figli maschi di cui il primogenito, Sam, sta per celebrare il suo bar mitzvah. Una normale famiglia ebrea, che se non fosse per i mille rimandi sarebbe una famiglia uguale a tante altre, alle prese con le crisi, grandi e piccole. Sullo sfondo, l'elemento di maggiore invenzione del libro, un terremoto che si scatena sul Medio Oriente e che causa un'incredibile crisi internazionale. Come influirà questa crisi sulla famiglia Bloch già in crisi?
Era probabilmente il primo romanzo che abbia mai letto di Foer, e devo dire che l'ho molto apprezzato. Un certo umorismo che aveva anche Roth, una raffigurazione psicologica dei personaggi incredibile, grande capacità di muoversi in spazi temporali molto ampi senza far perdere la traiettoria al lettore.
Insomma, devo dire che questa narrativa ebrea mi piace parecchio e mi ci ritrovo. E non so bene quanto durerà questo periodo Roth&co. Forse non sarà un continuo come ora, ma di sicuro durerà un bel po'.

Julia and Jacob, the parents, the three sons whose first-born, Sam, is about to celebrate his bar mitzvah. A normal Jewish family, if not for the thousand references would be a family like many others, dealing with crises, large and small. In the background, the element of greatest invention of the book, an earthquake that breaks out on the Middle East and causes an incredible international crisis. How will this crisis affect the Bloch family already in crisis?
It was probably the first novel I've ever read of Foer, and I must say that I greatly appreciated it. A certain humor that also had Roth, a psychological representation of the incredible characters, great ability to move in very large time spaces without losing the trajectory for the reader.
In short, I must say that I like this Jewish fiction a lot and I find myself there. And I do not know how long this period Roth & co will last. Maybe it will not be a continuous like now, but it will certainly last a long time.
