E poi donne di grande cultura e di conoscenze esoteriche, che pagano cara la loro sete di conoscenze, e altre donne, accabbadoras, con un potere di vita e di morte. E poi personaggi affascinanti come Gabriele D'Annunzio e Giovanni Maria Angioy. Ma soprattutto a fare da sfondo a tutto, Cagliari, terra di magia antica.
Non è possibile non venire colpiti da questo libro, non girare per le strade e cercare segni di questo passato narrato, non guardare ai luoghi simbolo della città come testimoni di vicende oscure.
