Due facce di una stessa medaglia. Perché un amore non é mai solo romanticismo o solo fatica. Qualunque tipo di amore.
La prima volta ho apprezzato questo libro. Adesso credo di averlo capito a un livello ancora più profondo. E lo apprezzo forse ancora di più.

Not the first time I read this book. I've read it few years ago and I deeply loved it, that my memories of this book stayed in my mind for years. But, that time I just focused the "romantic" side of the situation, the story of a true love of two American intellectuals, her finding sweetness and love in her man even after the "incident".
Not, more mature and with more life-experience on my shoulders, I see most her sacrifice for him.
I can see the hours spent waiting for an hour of her own, the frustration of cannot enjoy little pleasures for a lack of time, the sense of freedom enjoying them even for a brief moment, feeling guilty for every flaw.
Two sides of the same coin. Love is never just romance or just struggle. Every kind of love.
The first I appreciated this book. Now I think I understand it at a deeper and more inner level. And I appreciate it more.
