Il titolo é dato dalla distinzione che Pamuk fa tra romanzieri ingenui, quelli convinti che l'ispirazione arrivi a loro quasi in maniera divina, e quelli sentimentali, che sono sì totalmente dediti a quello che stanno facendo, ma ben coscienti che fanno parte di una tradizione lunga secoli. Ugualmente, vi sono anche i lettori ingenui,totalmente sprofondati nel sogno di quello che stanno leggendo, e quello sentimentali, quelli forse un po' distaccati, coscienti di stare sognando.
Un libro bello e interessante, in cui scoprire di più sulla figura dello scrittore stesso, non solo su Pamuk stesso, ma su come il romanziere lavora e costruisce il suo libro. E scoprire e riscoprirsi tantissimo nella figura del lettore, di cui io stessa sono orgogliosa di fare parte.

The title is given by the distinction Pamuk gives between naive novelists, sure that inspiration comes to us in such a divine way, and the sentimental ones, devoted to their work but aware of being a part of a centuries-old tradition. Similarly, there are naive readers, completely sunk in the dream of what they are reading, and the sentimental ones, maybe more detached, aware of being dreaming. A beautiful and interesting book, we can discover something more about the figure of the writer, not just Pamuk himself, but how the novelist works and builds his book. And discover and re-discover a lot about the reader's figure, a group I am a proud member.
