Peccato che non sia uscita da questa lettura pienamente soddisfatta.
I personaggi e la loro psicologia sono descritti perfettamente, sono caratteri e eventi di vita in cui molti di noi si ritroverebbero, personaggi veri con tutti i loro pregi e difetti. Leggendo come Missiroli ha tratteggiato Carlo, ho pensato che mi piacerebbe averlo come amico e poterlo chiamare o più probabile mandargli un messaggio per chiedergli chiarimenti sul mondo maschile. Me lo immagino uno da commenti schietti e molto sinceri, la brutale verità senza abbellimenti.
Però dall'altra parte ho percepito questo romanzo come fosse un esercizio di bello scrivere, per far vedere quanto si è bravi. Nessun vero calore o pathos. Niente che mi porterebbe a rileggerlo.
E' per questo motivo che ho dato 3 stelle al libro. Non mi sento di bocciarlo in toto ma nemmeno farne lodi sperticate.
Peccato perchè mi aspettavo davvero tanto da questo libro. Ma la porta per i bravi scrittori italiani è sempre aperta.

I was very curious to read this new novel by Marco Missiroli, because I literally adored his previous Obscene acts in a private place.
Too bad I did not come out fully satisfied by this one.
The characters and their psychology are described perfectly, they are characters and life events in which many of us would find ourselves, real characters with all their strengths and weaknesses. Reading how Missiroli drew Carlo, I thought I would like to have him as a friend and be able to call him or more likely send him a message to ask him for clarification on the male world. I imagine hime as one honest man who gives very honest comments, the brutal truth without embellishment.
But on the other hand, I perceived this novel as an exercise in good writing, to show how good you are. No real warm or pathos. Nothing that would lead me to read it again.
It is for this reason that I gave 3 stars to the book. I do not feel like rejecting it in its entirety, but neither do I praise it in a rude way.
Too bad because I really expected a lot from this book. But the door for good Italian writers is always open.
