La sua scrittura é "efficace", difficile non provare empatia per Sophie. Ho provato ansia per lei quando é morto il marito, e ancora di più nella seconda metà del libro. Credo di averlo divorato proprio per questo motivo, dovevo calmarmi e per farlo dovevo sapere come andava a finire. Un'ansia enorme.
Mi piace lo stile della signora Oates, é scorrevole e riesce a catturare l'immaginazione del lettore.
La storia si basa tutta su un odio-amore tra i due protagonisti, un rapporto che mi sarebbe piaciuto fosse maggiormente sviscerato, voglio davvero sapere cosa succede dopo, ho bisogno di più pagine!
Odio i libri incompleti, devo sapere tutto... Oddio, a pensarci, ogni libro é incompleto, di ogni libro voglio sapere cosa c'é dopo il Lieto (?) Fine.
Comunque il racconto é assolutamente interessante, ben scritto, bellissimo. Adesso voglio solo l'intera collana da cui é tratto ma é del 2011... non é che gentilmente qualcuno me li manda? Pagamento in recensioni e citazioni in tweets :)

It's the first time I read something written by Joyce Carol Oates and I have to say... well, I don't know what to say. Well, I don't know what I think about it. So, let me clear my mind.
Her writing is "efficient", it's difficult not feeling empathy for Sophie. I was anxious for her when her husband died, and more in the second part of the book. I think I devoured it because of it, I had to calm down and to do this I needed to know how it is going to end. A huge anxiety.
I like the style of Mrs Oates, it's flowing and manages to capture reader's imagination.
The story grounds on a hate-love between the two main characters, a relationship that I would like been more talked out. I really want to know what is going to happen after the end, I need more pages! I hate incomplete books, I need to know everything... well, thinking about it, every book is incomplete, of every book I want to know what's after the Happy (??) End.
Anyway, the tale is absolutely interesting, well written, beautiful. Now I want the entire collection but it was published in 2011... please, is there anyone who can send me it? I pay by reviews and quotes in tweets :)
