C'è tutta la solitudine, la cattiveria, il cinismo della vita in queste brevi narrazioni, a volte lunghe anche solo una pagina. Eppure, in ogni storia, c'è un pizzico di speranza, di attesa di qualcosa di meglio. E c'è una narrazione talmente magnifica che è impossibile non andare avanti con la lettura, per continuare a leggere queste storie così ciniche ma scritte così bene.
Probabilmente, se la Kristof non scrivesse così bene, e non avesse lasciato trapelare solo un piccolo raggio di speranza in un mondo cinico, non avrei finito il libro.
Credo che passerà un po' prima che mi decida di leggere la sua Trilogia, adesso non penso che potrei reggere un romanzo importante con questa atmosfera. Ho bisogno di abbandonare la sensazione che mi ha lasciata questo libro e poi potrò pensare di tornare.

This one looks like a small book to read, an innocent reading. In reality, the series of short stories that are contained in these 71 pages is powerful and cynical and bastard (pass me the word).
There is loneliness, malice, the cynicism of life in these short narratives, sometimes even a page long. And yet, in every story, there is a hint of hope, waiting for something better. And there is such a magnificent narrative that it is impossible not to go ahead with reading, to continue reading these so cynical stories but so well written.
Probably, if Kristof wouldn't write so well, and not let out only a small ray of hope in a cynical world, I wouldn't have finished the book.
I think now it will be a while before I decide to read her Trilogy, now I don't think I could hold an important novel with this atmosphere. I need to give up the feeling that this book left me and then I can think of coming back.
