Per quanto personalmente non vada pazza per i racconti, perchè mi sembra sempre che il piacere sia troppo breve, ho davvero apprezzato questa raccolta a cura di Annalena Benini. C'è spazio per le diverse sfaccettature della mente delle donne, la verità dei nostri detti e non detti, i buoni sentimenti e ciò di cui ci vergogniamo a parlare.
Per quanto conoscessi già tutte le autrici, a parte forse due o tre, è sempre bello rileggere righe che già si erano apprezzate e scoprire invece pagine non conosciute.

Joan Didion, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Valeria Parrella, Margaret Atwood... and sixteen others are part of this anthology of stories written by women. Twenty writers for twenty stories, each telling a detail of life through their own sensitivity. And therefore the strongest story is that by Atwood, which tells of rape fantasies, and then the envy for the work of Chetkovich's companion, a story of desire by Parrella, the irony of Dorothy Parker, feminism and the speech to women by Elsa Morante, the migraine that forces Joan Didion to a pause for reflection.
As far as I'm personally not crazy of short stories, because it always seems to me that the pleasure is too short, I really appreciated this collection by Annalena Benini. There is room for the different facets of women's minds, the truth of our sayings and unspoken words, good feelings and what we are ashamed to talk about.
Although I already knew all the authors, except maybe two or three, it's always nice to re-read lines that were already appreciated and to discover unknown pages instead.
