Questo libro ci fa riflettere, ci informa. Dati sulle percentuali di quante donne sono state uccise dai loro uomini. Quante donne subiscono violenza. Ci fa riflettere su quanto l'idea dell'Amore vissuto come un sentimento di completo possesso sia presente nella nostra storia culturale, tra film e canzoni e letteratura. Norma, Gilda, Desdemona, Cio-Cio-San, tutte uccise da uomini che dicevano di amarle. Ed è questo il lato più assurdo del femminicidio, che quasi si trova la giustificazione nell'uccidere per amore, come se queste due parole non fossero in antitesi totale. Perché anche pensare che la donna "provocatrice" sia la causa, che "se la sia cercata", è parte di questo ragionamento. E bisogna partire da questa consapevolezza.
