I've just close this book and I'm still shocked. The perfection of this novel leaves its own mark. The elegant and sharp writing; the characters' psychology, described precisely; an engaging plot, I wasn't ablt to abandon it to live my real life. On the backdrop, two perfect stages: London and its chaotic life, and a superb castle in Cornwall, where the room resound of sea's waves and the turrets shield old secrets.
A story of strong passions, blind love, requested trials and on the other side deceptions, frozen silences, clandestine ruses...
I discovered just at the end that Mr Mason wrote this book when he was 22 years old... this man is so close to the word "genius".
A beautiful book, perturbing. Perfect.
