E' un libro tra storia e mito in modo globale, perchè anche la stessa storia della protagonista è in bilico tra diversi piani, incluso quello spaziale, tra Parigi, Capri e Londra.
Un libro quasi surreale, direi. Ma allo stesso tempo, un libro incredibilmente collegato a ognuno di noi. A me sicuramente, con la protagonista divisa tra amore e ragione.
Una lettura davvero bella, lo stile della Winterson, con questi capitoli brevi e questa scelta accurata delle parole, lo adoro.

What a wonderful book. A collection of stories that follow each other, between modern times and myth. The story of the main character spaced with stories of famous lovers, as Paolo and Francesca, or Lancelot and Guinevere, the Orlando Furioso. The power of love and its sweetness, the fights, the passion.
It's a book in between story and myth in a global way, because even the own main character's story is hanging in the balance between different levels, included where it happens, between Paris, Capri and London.
An almost surreal book. But at the same time, a book unbelievably linked to everyone of us. To me for sure, because the main character is in between love and rationality.
A very beautiful book, and I love Mrs Winterson's style, short chapters and accurate choice of words.
