Il secondo motivo é che... Dopo un po' i racconti si assomigliano tutti e sono noiosi.
Sono tutte storie carine di varie situazioni abbastanza normali, ma dopo che ne leggi una o due ne hai abbastanza. Leggerne una raccolta intera é pesante. Ed é per questo che ne leggevo una ogni tanto, allungando così i i miei tempi di lettura. Avevo migliori aspettative, considerato che l'autrice conosceva e frequentava Virginia Woolf. Evidentemente, il talento non va per vicinanza.
Mi sento come se avessi scalato l'Everest. O almeno il Monte Bianco. Nemmeno quando ho finito Guerra e Pace mi sembrava di aver fatto chissà quale impresa.
Finalmente l'ho finito. Per un po' ora solo romanzi interi da 100 pagine.

After about six months, I finally finished to read this collection of short stories. I needed a lot of time, I know. The first reason is that this book is the collection of every short story written by Mrs Mansfield, it's long and the type is very small.
The second reason is... After a while the short stories are all similar and then boring.
They are nice stories of pretty common situations, but after you read one or two it's enough. It's hard reading an entire collection. And that's why I read one now and then, protracting the time of reading. I had better expectations, because the author knew and hang out with Virginia Woolf. Clearly, talent doesn't go through proximity.
I feel like I have climbed Everest. Or at least the Monte Bianco. Not even when I finished War and Peace I felt I finished such a challenge.
Finally I finished. By now for a while I want to read just novels with less than 100 pages.
