Un libro non facile, da leggere con attenzione e con un occhio alle pagine precedenti. Un libro che probabilmente alla prima lettura non viene capito a fondo, dove particolari celano e svelano insieme la vicenda.
L'autrice vinse il Premio Nobel nel 1993 per "la sua capacità di dare vita ad un aspetto essenziale della realtà americana in racconti caratterizzati da forza visionaria e rilevanza poetica".

A not easy book, to read with great care and with an eye to previous pages. A book that probably at a first reading is not completely understood, where details hide and unveil the story.
The writer won the Nobel Prize in 1993 for "who in novels characterized by visionary force and poetic import, gives life to an essential aspect of American reality".
