Terzo libro della collezione sul ciclo arturiano della RBA, questa volta concentrato su Re Artù, su come Excalibur l'abbia prescelto come re d'Inghilterra, sulle prime rivolte del suo regno e come nacque. La storia è basata sull'opera di Thomas Malory, La morte di Artù.
Artù, figlio di Uther Pendragon e Lady Igraine, dopo la sua nascita viene cresciuto da Sir Hector e sua moglie, e il loro figlio Kai.
Una volta adolescente, re Uther muore e il nuovo re sarà colui che riuscirà ad estrarre la spada Excalibur dalla roccia. Artù ci riesce ma non tutti i nobili di Bretagna accetteranno di sottomettersi a uno scudiero sconosciuto fino al giorno prima...
Devo dire che sto apprezzando conoscere gli antefatti delle storie più famose, Artù in genere viene conosciuto già re e già a capo dei Cavalieri della Tavola Rotonda, mentre è interessante vedere come si è evoluta la storia, o meglio, come si è evoluta in una delle fonti.
Devo dire che la storia è molto interessata e raccontata bene, questa collezione della RBA è molto ben fatta, sia per quanto riguarda l'aspetto narrativo sia per la grafica.
La storia di Artù e del ciclo arturiano non mi lascerà sicuramente, sono così tanti i libri che ne parlano, tra cui metterò in lista questo "La morte di Artù" di Thomas Malory.

I must say that I am appreciating knowing the background of the most famous stories, Arthur is generally known when he's already a king and already head of the Knights of the Round Table, while it is interesting to see how the story has evolved, or rather, how it has evolved into one of the sources.
I must say that the story is very interesting and well told, this collection of the RBA is very well done, both for the narrative aspect and for the graphics.
The story of Arthur and the Arthurian cycle will certainly not leave me, there are so many books that talk about it, among which I had listed that "The death of Arthur" by Thomas Malory.
