Questo volume è molto interessante e sicuramente molto gradevole alla lettura. Ma, e questo è il motivo delle tre stelle, non parla sempre di lettura. Parla anche del servizio postale di Chicago, molto della sua famiglia, dell'inauguration di George W.Bush. Sicuramente temi molto interessanti, ma da un libro con un sottotitolo così, io voglio quello.
Altrimenti mi scrivi "raccolta di saggi vari" e la finiamo lì.
Ammetto che per qualcun altro non sarebbe un valido motivo per bocciare questo libro, cosa che infatti non sto facendo. Ma volevo di più.

After I've read "Lose your hope to free yourself from books" by Umberto Eco, it would be a good idea to avoid for a while another book about reading. Even if it's written by a giant like Jonathan Franzen. My expectations were very high. This volume is very interesting and certainly very pleasant to read. But, and this is the reason of the three stars, it doesn't always tells about literature. The subjects are also the postal service in Chicago, his family, George W. Bush's inauguration. They are really interesting subjects of course, but from a book with that subtitle, I want that thing.
Otherwise you write "collection of various essays" and I'm fine.
I must admit that for someone else it's not a convincing reason to dismiss this book, thing that I'm not doing. But I wanted more.
