Letture impegnative, bisogna leggere bene il testo per capirlo, già a livello espressivo, non certo una versione in prosa con un linguaggio moderno.
Eppure grande modernità in tutte queste storie, i sentimenti umani al loro massimo, la pietas, il furore, la disperazione, l'inganno, la confusione, l'amore coniugale che porta al massimo sacrificio come nell'Alcesti, il furore della donna tradita, donna migrante non compresa come nella Medea.
Difficile dire quali tra queste siano le mie preferite, probabilmente la Medea per la sua incredibile modernità e per la visione di questa donna grandissima, figura femminile immensa di fronte alla pochezza e alla fragilità e all'immaturità di Giasone che a lei dà ogni colpa delle cose fatte insieme e che si disfa di lei appena non gli serve più ma anzi gli è d'impiccio nella sua scalata al potere.
Tantissime donne in queste tragedie, su 11 solo 3 hanno titoli a nome maschile, volendo aggiungere anche le Baccanti dove in realtà il vero protagonista è Bacco.
Grandissime letture, quelle che ti rendono visibilmente migliore.
Mai dimenticare che la grandezza è stata già raggiunta moltissimi anni, e da allora vi è solo da imparare e sfidare certe vette.

Almost three years to finish this collection of the tragedies of one of the most important tragic in the classical world. It took so long because this book was taken up, abandoned, read a tragedy and then nothing for a long time, and finally resumed and read what remained in a couple of days.
Challenging readings, one must read the text well to understand it, already at an expressive level, certainly not a prose version with a modern language.
Yet great modernity in all these stories, human feelings at their peak, pietas, fury, despair, deceit, confusion, conjugal love that leads to the greatest sacrifice as in the Alcestis, the fury of the betrayed woman, a migrant woman not understood as in the Medea.
It is difficult to say which of these are my favorites, probably the Medea for its incredible modernity and for the vision of this very great woman, an immense female figure in the face of the smallness and fragility and immaturity of Jason who gives her every guilt of things done together and discarding her as soon as he no longer needs them, but rather, she is in a hindrance in his ascent to power.
So many women in these tragedies, out of 11 only 3 have male titles, wanting to add also the Bacchae, where in reality the real protagonist is Bacchus.
Great readings, those that make you visibly better.
Never forget that greatness has already been achieved many years ago, and since then there is only to learn and challenge certain peaks.
