È una collezione di nove "commencement speeches", il discorso tenuto alla fine dell'anno accademico ai laureandi fatto da persone di una certa rilevanza culturale. Come dimenticare il famosissimo "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" di Steve Jobs? E in questo caso, è diventato famosissimo il "Quando siete felici, fateci caso."
Sono nove discorsi su vari argomenti, dai Presidenti allo zio dello scrittore, dal suo professore preferito all'università a cosa possiamo avere più dei miliardari. Discorsi molto ironici e divertenti, ma che nella loro semplicità nascondono verità. Semplicità, ovviamente, per Vonnegut, il suo stile, quello che lo rende unico. Dare grandi consigli di vita facendo ridere i laureandi e il lettore, non è mica facile!
Una lettura molto piacevole, da fare almeno una volta nella vita.

I think that, just because the quotes in it, this is one of the most famous book in the world. Just the title, it is written in a lot of Whatsapp's personal status.
It's a collection of nine "commencement speeches", those ones at the end of the academic year to graduating students given in general by well noted speakers. How to forget the super famous "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" by Steve Jobs? And in this case, it's now very well known the "If This Isn't Nice, What Is?"
There are nine speeches about various subject, from the US Presidents to the writer's uncle, from his favourite teacher at the University to what we have that the billionaires haven't. Very ironic and funny speeches, but in their simplicity they hide truths. Simple, of course, just because Vonnegut wrote it, his style, that what makes it unparalleled. Giving good suggestions making the students and the readers laugh is not easy!
A very nice book, to read at least once in a life.
