Quattro donne, quattro streghe potenti, uomini che raccontano le loro storie. Quattro racconti ben scritti, tutti quanti impressionanti e di affascinanti, per l'infinito potere di queste figure.
Il primo racconto è ambientato nel pieno 1667, in piena caccia alle streghe, e racconta di una madre e una figlia straordinarie... Il secondo parla di un giovane Apprendista Stregone che si ritrova di fronte alla Dea Sekhmet. Il terzo di uno scrittore che si ritrova a vivere e a lavorare al centro di un cerchio di metallo in quella che nella sua casa è famosa come la Stanza della Strega, non può finire bene... Il terzo di una strega gelosa e di una rivale in amore.
Non saprei dire quale sia il mio preferito, difficile sceglierne uno perché sono davvero quattro racconti bellissimi, l'unica cosa, forse avrei apprezzato qualche storia in cui la strega parlasse di sè in prima persona, senza essere sempre raccontata attraverso le parole e lo sguardo dell'uomo. Sono sicura che troverò quello che cerco in una raccolta più ampia di storie sul tema oppure mi rivolgerò alla cara Marion Zimmer Bradley che, con Morgana e tutte le altre, ci ha regalato un prezioso punto di vista in prima persona.

This one, dedicated to the tales of witches, is a small collection of four really well chosen tales.
Four women, four powerful witches, men who tell their stories. Four well-written tales, all of them impressive and fascinating, due to the infinite power of these figures.
The first story is set in the 1667, during the witch hunt, and tells about an extraordinary mother and daughter... The second is about a young Sorcerer's Apprentice in front of the Goddess Sekhmet. The third about a writer living and working in the center of a metal circle in the room that in his house is famous as the Witch's Room, this cannot end well... The third of a jealous witch and a rival in love.
I cannot say which is my favorite, difficult to choose one because they are really four beautiful stories, the only thing, maybe I would have appreciated some stories in which the witch spoke about herself in the first person, without always being told through the words and the gaze of a man. I am sure that I will find what I am looking for in a larger collection of stories on the subject or I will turn to my dear Marion Zimmer Bradley who, with Morgana and all the others, has given us a precious first-person point of view.
