It all started with Rosamunde Pilcher. As an adolescent, I was passionate about her novels and I was passionate about Cornwall and Scotland. Even now, with about double the age, these are two places at the top of the list of places I would like to visit. This novel has refreshed my passion.
And to say I'm not usually one fond of love novels! But this is not just about Cornwall in this case.
Poppy Carmichael is a "rebel" girl who suddenly gets her inheritance from her dear grandmother as a flower shop and her home in the town of Saint Felix, Cornwall. "Flowers are not stuff for me," she continues, but Saint Felix is ??a magical place, and who knows that, with the right people...
As far as from the second page you already know how it will end, as the characters are very good or bad without any nuances, though the happy ending embraces everyone and it is super-romantic... I liked it. Ali McNamara writes very well, it's not all too bad and Poppy caught me. And yes, my dream came back to stay somewhere in Cornwall, overlooking the sea, eating fish and chips!
In short, do not tell anyone, that goes to my serious bookblogger image :) but this book is really cute!
