La Gamberale mi piace moltissimo, Gramellini come giornalista, meno come scrittore. Chissà perché, come giornalista é acuto e divertente, cosa che mi piace, mentre come scrittore é un po' stucchevole, cosa che mi piace meno. E infatti, alla fine dei conti, nel libro mi sono piaciute maggiormente le parti scritte da Gioconda che quelle di Filomene.
Stessa cosa per il libro. Inizialmente l'ho trovato stucchevole, poi la storia mi ha appassionato, e addirittura mi sono segnata un paio di frasi significative. Però, andando avanti avrei saltato a piè pari gli interventi dell'angelo, e anche il finale l'ho trovato un po' banale e tirato. Insomma, bella la parte centrale ma tutto il resto meno.
Però, il libro non mi é dispiaciuto. Storia carina, tanti spunti di riflessione. Niente su cui riflettere stamattina quando sarò in fila alla posta e che mi conduca all'illuminazione, ma un paio di frasi riportate sul mio telefono che ricapiteranno sotto i miei occhi nei momenti più strani. Qualcosa rimarrà, in fin dei conti.

This review gives me some struggles. Because on this book I placed not hopes but various and different feelings.
I really like Chiara Gamberale. I like Gramellini as journalist, less as writer. Who know why, as journalist he is shrewd and funny, that I like, while as writer he is a bit sugary, that I like less. In fact, at the end of my reading, in the book I liked more the Gioconda's chapters than the Filomene's ones.
Same thing for the book. At the beginning, it was sugary, then I got into the story, and I even marked a few significant quotes. But then, going on, I would leap over the angel's letters, and the ending too was too predictable. At the end, I liked the central part, less the others.
But, I didn't dislike this one at all. The story is nice, a lot of food for thought. I won't think about it while I will be in my queue at the postal office and I won't be enlightened, but those few quotes marked on my phones will arrive at just the right moment. Something will stay, all things considered.
