É una raccolta di racconti con un filo conduttore, il filo del titolo: uomini senza donne. Uomini che si lasciano morire d'amore per un abbandono, uomini che scompaiono, uomini lasciati soli da novelle Sherazade che torneranno a raccontare loro la fine di una storia. C'é anche Gregor Samsa, tornato dal mondo degli scarafaggi, dove ha dimenticato tutto ciò che aveva imparato ma non gli impulsi sessuali.
Al solito, come da modello, la storie sono un bilico tra una infinita surrealità e una materialità terra terra. Riferimenti al sesso, al pene e alle tette sempre presenti in abbondanza. Per non parlare degli stereotipi sui generi, donne che non sanno guidare e mentono perché predisposte fisicamente da un organo che hanno solo loro. Come no...
Forse perché presi in piccole porzioni, i racconti di Murakami sono godibili. Ma per me assolutamente insapori.

I liked 1Q84. This one... Too, but not so much.
It's a collection of short stories with a theme, the idea of the title: men without women. Men who let themselves dying because an abandonment, men who disappear, men let alone by contemporary Sherazade who will eventually come back to finish a story. There is Gregor Samsa too, back from the world of cockroaches, where he forgot everything he knew but not the sexual instincts.
As usual, stories are in between an infinite surreality and a ground-to-groud materiality. References to sex, penis and boobs are always present. Not to mention about the stereotypes about women, who doesn't know how to drive and lie because physically fitted thanks to an organ only them have. Yes, sure...
Maybe because in little portions, these short stories are an enjoyable reading. But for me they are tasteless.
