E' una vita che trovo questo libro nelle liste dei Da leggere prima di avere compiuto 30 anni/prima di morire/almeno una volta nella vita in tutto il mondo. Ed è quindi ovviamente con molta curiosità che mi sono affacciata a questo libro, chiedendomi cosa davvero fosse per avere tutto questo successo. Beh, l'ho letto. E adesso sono io che lo metterei in una mia personale lista... la lista del "Ma siete seri?".
Ok, forse sono io che sono un po' cinica e tutti questi libri che invitano all'amore e all'amicizia, a essere buoni con il prossimo e a prendersi cura di un fiore hanno l'unico risultato di farmi venire il diabete... ma davvero siete seri? No, perchè io il ragazzino fastidioso che deve sempre chiedere "Perchè" per tutto mi faceva venire un'irritazione che ancora solo a pensarci mi irrito. No davvero davvero, ma siete seri?
Non ne dubito che gente meno cinica di me l'abbia trovato un libro tanto carino e tanto poetico e tanto di ispirazione... o forse sono io che, avendolo letto dopo la fatidica soglia dei 30 anni sono fuori tempo massimo dal capirlo... ma davvero, siete seri?

Another time, I find myself at asking my readers, those who appreciated this book, to please stop here reading this review. Probably, you've already understood the reason why, so we can avoid asking why and go on... in case you really want to know why, the next lines will explain you everything.
In my life, I've found this book in every single ToRead before you are 30/before to die/at least once in lifetime List. And so obviously I started this book with a lot of curiosity, wondering about this huge success. Well, now I've read it. And now it's me putting this book in my personal list... the "Are you serious?" List. Ok, maybe it's me a little cynical about all these books inviting to love and friendship, being good with the others and taking care of a flower, so the only result is making me sick but... are you really serious? No, because the annoying little boy who has to ask to anyone "Why?" for everything was soooo irritating that just the thought irritates me. No, really, are you serious?
No doubt that less cynical people have found this book so nice and so poetic and so inspirational... or it's just me who, read after the decisive limit of 30-years-old, it's out of time to understand it... but really, are you serious?
Two stars... one is mine, and the other one is the world's.
