La delicatezza della fiaba in questo libro si unisce alla tristezza della malattia e della morte. Tom Cloudman sogna di volare come un uccello, ma riesce solo a cadere e farsi male. Finchè il male, la "Barbabietola", non lo colpirà e solo una dottoressa dal nome speciale potrà aiutarlo, a un grande prezzo.
Un libro strano, surreale, diverso.
Mi piace molto lo stile di questo scrittore, amo il suo essere così diverso, senza cedere mai al finale banale.
Mi mancano due libri suoi. Tendo a non leggere mai due libri dello stesso autore/autrice consecutivamente, quindi una piccola pausa prima del prossimo.

Second book I read by this French writer/musician and second book I'm bewitched. But to be honest, this time has been a little bit different. It wasn't a looking at the story with child's eyes. But a bigger feeling of sadness.
The gentleness of fairytales in this book is united with the sadness of illness and death. Tom Cloudman dreams to fly like a bird, but he's only able to fall and hurt himself. As long as the sickness, the "Beetroot", hits him and only a doctor with a special name will help him, at a high price.
A strange, surreal, bizarre book.
I really like this writer's style, I love his being so different, never surrendering to banal happy endings.
I still have to read two books by him. I'm used not to read thereafter two books of the same author, so a little break before the next one.
