Già dalla prima pagina, però, ho trovato degli elementi che mi piacevano. La protagonista ha sì una storia triste alle spalle ma invece di fare la fioraia o la libraia, come in quasi tutti i romanzetti sopra citati, lei fa la custode di un cimitero. Ed è già un punto a favore, perchè io amo molto passeggiare per i cimiteri e mi sono sempre chiesta come fosse quel lavoro. C'è una bella atmosfera durante tutto il romanzo, una certa calma, un'attenzione alle piccole cose, che siano un rifarsi un guardaroba per cambiare vita o imparare a curare un giardino, un risollevarsi dopo un brutto periodo... Ed è forse questo il motivo per cui l'ho letto in due giorni, senza riuscire a staccarmene.
Nella narrazione si salta spesso dal passato al presente e ci sono anche diversi cambi di punti di vista, bisogna stare attenti per non perdere il filo.
Il fatto che mi ha portato a dare quattro stelle invece di cinque è stato probabilmente il fatto che rimane comunque un romanzo rosa, pur di alta qualità. Quindi con tutti gli elementi che devono esserci, di cui non dico per non fare spoiler, e con dei personaggi maschili molto forti e rudi e dei personaggi femminili molto delicati, delle cosine rosa da salvare, pure troppo... Sarà che non sono proprio un'anima romantica ma spesso e volentieri mi sono ritrovata a dire "Sì, vabbè, questo nella realtà col cavolo che ti succede..." Ma ripeto, è assolutamente un romanzo di alta qualità, altrimenti non l'avrei certo finito.
Lettura consigliata per questa estate, se avete un paio di giorni più calmi lo finirete subito.

I borrowed this ebook because I had heard so much about it and was curious to know what it was like. I must admit that the cover and the title did not convince me so much, it seemed to me the classic romance from which I generally keep myself very far away.
From the first page, however, I found some elements that I liked. The protagonist has a sad story behind her but instead of being a florist or bookseller, as in almost all the novels mentioned above, she works as the guardian of a cemetery. And it's already a plus, because I really love walking around cemeteries and I've always wondered what that job was like. There is a good atmosphere throughout the novel, a certain calm, an attention to the little things, whether it's a new wardrobe to change your life or learning how to take care of a garden, a recovery after a bad period... this is the reason why I read it in two days, without being able to tear myself away from it.
In the narrative the story often jump from the past to the present and there are also several changes of point of view, one must be careful not to lose the thread.
The reason why I gave four stars instead of five was probably the fact that it is anyway a romance novel, albeit of high quality. So with all the elements that must be there, of which I am not saying so as not to spoil, and very strong and rude male characters and very delicate female characters, as they are little pink things to save, even too much... Maybe I'm not really a romantic soul but often and willingly I found myself saying "Yes, oh well, this in reality it's never going to happen to you..." But I repeat, it is absolutely a high quality novel, otherwise I certainly would not have finished it.
Recommended reading for this summer, if you have a couple of calmer days you will finish it right away.
