Ovviamente in un libro sarebbe impossibile raccontare ogni singolo accadimento che nelle scuole studiamo per diversi anni. Ma Harari crea, soprattutto quando il mondo si fa più esteso e le vicende si fanno più complicate, un quadro d'insieme, ci dà una chiave per capire il mondo e i suoi cambiamenti, come siamo cambiati noi umanità per effetto dei cambiamenti che noi stessi abbiamo iniziato.
Inoltre, è una lettura anche super scorrevole, è uno di quei libri che si divora perchè lo storico riesce a rendere la materia interessante e mai noiosa, direi anche avvincente.
Sicuramente leggerò anche gli altri suoi testi, Homo Deus e 21 lezioni per il XXI secolo.

Sapiens tells the story of mankind in 536 pages, from when the first Homo Sapiens appeared on Earth, up to the present world. It is an incredibly dense, interesting book, full of social and economic explanations to understand every step, every revolution, every extra step in becoming what we are now, from being animals to (future) gods.
Obviously in a book it would be impossible to tell every single event that we study in schools for several years. But Harari creates, especially when the world becomes larger and events become more complicated, an overall picture, gives us a key to understand the world and its changes, how the humanity have changed as a result of the changes that we ourselves started.
Moreover, it is also a super smooth reading, it is one of those books that one devours because the historian manages to make the subject interesting and never boring, I would say even compelling.
I will certainly read his other texts as well, Homo Deus and 21 lessons for the 21st century.
