Un libro che parte in modo fin troppo tranquillo, tanto che il pensiero ricorrente è che "non è un granchè". Ma continuando la lettura, per qualche strano motivo, non la si riesce ad abbandonare e si finisce per leggerne tutte le circa 400 pagine. Perchè? Non lo so. Forse per sapere come continuerà la storia di Ruth, perchè si fa il tifo per quello o per quell'altro personaggio, forse perchè qualche personaggio lo si vorrebbe proprio prendere a schiaffi. Non so perchè. Ma so che in un pomeriggio mi sono divorata 360 pagine e ancora penso che non sia un granchè. Ma non riuscivo a lasciarlo.

 A book starting in a very quiet way, in fact my initial thought was "It's nothing special". But keep going to the reading, for some strange reason, you can't stop and you have to read the 400 pages. Why? I don't know. Maybe because we are curious to know how the story of Ruth will end, because you support this or that character, because you really want to slap the stupid face of another character. I don't know why. But I know that in just one afternoon I read 360 pages and still I think it's nothing special. But at the same time I couldn't stop.
